Rules
General
On entering and leaving the school and when addressing Shifu and other students, show the proper form of respect, namely with both palms together and a slight bow (or when appropriate the Sun&Moon/‘Ming’ salute).
Members must wear the school uniform of school t-shirt and black or orange trousers when taking a class. Exemptions apply only to members of the Wushu Competition Team who may wear appropriate performance clothing.
Do not use profanity.
No talking or gossiping during class.
Respect fellow members and their right to train seriously without interruption.
Do not handle weapons or other equipment without permission from Shifu.
Do not teach or ask to be taught by other students.
No horseplay in the school.
No photography or filming of any kind is permitted inside the school, except with permission of Shifu. This includes mobile phone cameras.
Keep noise to a minimum to avoid disturbing other members’ concentration.
Food must not be consumed in the Reception area.
Cooked food (including takeaways) must never be brought into the school.
Clean up after yourself. Do not leave rubbish or personal effects in the school.
Turn off mobile phones inside the school.
Do not ask to be exempted from any of the rules.
Membership & Subscription
Except for a single trial class no one may take a lesson without a valid membership.
Before taking any class members must sign in and present a valid subscription card or pay the relevant class fee.
Children (16 or under) & Guardians
Children must not leave the school for any reason during class.
Children must be collected from class when it is over and not left alone in the school.
If your child has a break in between classes they may remain in the school but must not leave the premises without your
supervision.
While waiting for their next class to begin children must remain quietly in the seating areas or stretch in an available space.
Visitors
Visitors may watch classes from inside the training hall on Sunday only.
At all other times visitors are welcome to watch classes from outside the door but must not enter the training hall during class time.
Visitors must not at any time enter the training area while a class is in progress.
Visitors must not call out to members of the class.
Small children must remain under the control of their parents at all times.
